THE MEDICAL MISSIONS RIP-OFF

Touring the Philippines at donors and often Australians tax payer expenses, shot some videos and go begging for money. "For the poor and needy?" We'll see....

Yeah!!! right! Take a look folks and send me some feed back if these videos look to you like they saved the country. Those tourists you see were the only beneficiaries of the missions. Two weeks in the Philippines they participated in 4 events for a duration of 4 hours each distributing some useless medicines mostly vitamins on a first come first serve basis. What they were doing the rest of the time? What else of course than spending time in the Inns of Panglao island, restaurants and massage on the beach and more... The cost of the medicines they distributed was almost zero, mostly donated, and only a fraction went to the poor the remaining will reach the shelves of a pharmacy to be sold. The cost of travel and entertaining themselves cost several thousands of dollars that regardless who paid for it could be donated for a real mission without them been there. Folks, here is how the scam goes:

The participants you see from NZ and AU paid $3500 to travel as "volunteers" to a VAP medical mission. (See vap.ph web site click on VOLUNTEERS link). Derek Pyrah convinced them they'll have great vacation time there and with the tax exemption certificate will provide them through the RAWCS the actual price will be less. Have you guys had a great time? I doubt it. You could have better one on your own with that kind of money keeping your reputation intact. In fact, now days are not favorable to be seen with Pyrah and Collins in the Philippines, neither be actors in his deceitfully presented videos which I'll make sure are viewed around the world.. I participated in more than one of these mission and know what I'm talking about., I talked to quite a few of those "volunteers" and many of them know me we met in the Philippines during their stay. The closer you get to Pyrah and Collins the higher the risk to get ripped off. But if for any reason you pretend you don't see you can only fool yourselves because chances are there is a greater posibility for chicken to survive a fox's visit in their coop than the medicins to arrive intact in the numbers received after a few days stay at Baby's pharmacy. No wonder Baby Garcia Calipusan (Eventually Collins) as owner of two pharmacies is traveling all over the Philippines to find clubs willing to participate on "medical missions. "For the heck of her Christian faith and compassion"? Please!! Gime a break!....

Let's get started. The video below was taken in Tubigon a town about 45 kilometers north of Tagbilaran. According to Director of the movie Derek Pyrah the mission was received in a "Rotarians party ambiance" by the Tubigon "Rotary community" But there isn't any Rotary club in Tubigon and the only Rotarian is a member of the Rotary club of Tagbilaran that has clearly disassociated from the VAP activities. No Rotary no Rotarians. so why they are going there for a mission? These are some the reasons;There are two former Rotarians that sided with Dave Collins after he was kicked out of the Rotary club of Tagbilaran living there. Pharmacist Baby Garcia Calipusan -Collins has a hard time to find participating clubs to accept "missions" because they all know what;s behind her action. Those two former Rotarians are Carlos and Grace Campos presented in VAP's web site as " VAP Tubigon village managers". Curiously, No mention at all in the video. Observe the banner, no rotary club names, no Rotary logo, no district, no RAWCS .A phantom mission? So, did Rotarian

and Rotary community threw a party or not? Folks, Tubigon is a nice city neat progressive and economically stable compare to other towns in Bohol thanks to successive local officials that knew how best to exploit its geographical position just 45 minutes sail from Cebu.Do you think any of those officials will bother to to be present in a bogus mission? They all now the story, they are not that stupid as the crooks think they are. They all know the gang will distribute for 3-4 hours on a "first come first serve basis" try to kill the time distributing as less as possible, as long as they can shot the video hoping that you Aussie will buy the story and contribute. (February 2 update. As of January first 2009 there is now a Rotary Club in Tubigon Bohol.)

Same story in Ubay, a town further north of Tubigon, distanced about 40 kilometers from there. I will not embed it , waist of bandwidth, but if you want to see it's here Ironically there is a Rotary Club in this town THE ROTAY CLUB OF UBAY. This club was solicited but refused to participate. They know the story, no wonder never mentioned by the VAP 'web site even less in the video. There is also another controversy. Where was Cory Ann Verge during the "mission" in her camp? Not a single foto of her in the video. And now this: Why Derek Pyrah and Collins try to convince you that he still has a stronghold in Bohol? Here is the answer. First he refuges to capitulate and digest the humiliation suffered by their eviction from the ROTARY CLUB OF TAGBILARAN resulting in losing the golden egg that was feeding their bank accounts. No more Matching Grants to manipulate, no donations that never been recorded in the club's accounting log, to name just few examples.They are under fire to go in the defense by using offending tactics towards the RCT and a mythical propaganda Derek Pyrah knows so well the job to convince his partners in AU including the RAWCS that he's still a player in Bohol and the darling of the district 3860. A pure mythology delivered by liars and con artists. They now have to bribe to survive. I'll come back to tell you who and where.

In Bohol, thanks to Fancy Baluyot president of the PHILIPPINES GIFT OF LIFE thousands of indigenous people have received treatment and surgery over the years; She never had a web site never made a video, never a demagogic comment. Just action. likewise, the gang, giving a few tablets of Paracetamol and some vitamins they published it all over YouTube brought with them Rotarians tourists disguised in "volunteers" for the only purpose of filming and a testimonial that "all is fine". But is not! nothing is fine. Keep in touch, I'll tell you more.

 

THE TRIAL updated May 1st 2009 Conflicts, misunderstanding rivalry exists within any group of people that gather to achieve a common goal, be a club, a church or a fraternity; usually will end up with the exclusion of one party preserving so the unity of the group, exclusion not always carefully and rightfully planned and executed. THE CASATE VILLAGE DROUGHT RELEIF RIP-OFFSome time in the year 2006 Dave Collins and Derek Pyrah were unhappy that not enough money flows on the VAP account in the Philippines. This can be demonstrated in several mails exchanged I have in file. In these mails they are looking for ways to increase their income “for the poor and needy” out side the Rotary where apparently the collect didn’t work as they wanted to. The Matching Grand Applications to TRF were slow to produce, too bureaucratic for a Collins as anxious he can be. They decided to seek instant gratification by inventing a Darfour situation in the North of the island in a place named Ubay in the village of Cassate. Click tp read more
